

Among the more notable is a Doctor Strange adaptation planned by Albert and Charles Band, founders of schlock staple Full Moon Features. In fact, in the 1990s Marvel Comics filed for bankruptcy, and only stayed afloat by selling the film rights to many of its properties. These days, we think of the MCU as an unstoppable monolith, the king of the pop culture landscape.
